Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is in charge of the CISO's Office. The CISO's Office provides preventive and structural support to the House of Representatives in raising awareness and in building up and maintaining measures to protect the integrity of information. The CISO's Office is responsible for protecting data and systems from unauthorised access and for preventing incidents. The CISO's Office monitors systems, applications and devices in order to detect suspicious situations as soon as possible and to take action if and when necessary. Besides, the CISO's Office offers comprehensive coordination and support in case of incidents and in crisis situations in the field of information security.
In addition, the House of Representatives has a Security Expert Team (SET) which also falls under the CISO's responsibility. The SET is made up of staff members of the CISO's Office and employees from external cyber security companies. The SET takes action on imminent or actual information security incidents and has a knowledge and advisory function in the field of information security as well.
