Four new members of the House were sworn in on Tuesday September 3: Rudmer Heerema (VVD), Marith Rebel-Volp (PvdA), Tjitske Siderius (SP) and Henk Leenders (PvdA). 

 A delegation from the committee for Foreign Trade and  Development Cooperation visits  Tanzania and Ethiopia from August 17 until August 26.  

The Speaker of the House, ms. Anouchka van Miltenburg, visited Brussels on July 8 and 9 and London on July 10, 11 and 12. In Brussels she met with mr. Herman van Rompuy, president of the European Council, and in London ms. Van Miltenburg had a meeting with deputy prime minister mr. Nick Clegg (photo).

Two members of the Dutch Parliament attended a Meeting of chairmen of parliamentary Committees  on issues of reform of common agricultural policy in Vilnius, Lithuania.

On Tuesday July 2, the Dutch drugs policy was the subject of a closed meeting between the Committee for Safety and Justice of the Dutch House of Representatives and the British Parliamentary Group on Drugs Policy Reform.

Tuesday July 2, the House discussed the results of the EU-summit in Brussels on June 27 and 28.

On Wednesday July 3 the committees for Finance and European Affairs have looked forward  to the next meeting of the Eurogroup and Ecofin.  

The committee for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation will discuss arms exports on Wednesday July 3.
