What does this MP stand for?

Three questions for Mariëtte Patijn.

1. What drives you to serve as an MP?

All my life I have worked to improve the position of working people, from the trade union and the Labour Inspectorate, and now in the House of Representatives.

2. What would you change about the Netherlands?

I want us to become curious about each other again. As an MP I try to do that with everyone, including people who do not care for my party. I also want many more people to gain a strong position on the labour market, with more job security and higher incomes.

3. Who inspires you?

I am inspired by trade union members who actively try to improve things in their company or sector and who succeed through solidarity. It would be wonderful to see the same spirit across society. Ultimately, we are in it together.
